What are the prerequisites?
- A basic understanding of HTML concepts and terminology, such as understanding the difference between a <span> and a <div>, is highly recommended.
- Additionally, this class is for designers, so we will assume that you have a basic understanding of other design concepts and terminology, such as CSS, "slicing" images for use in a web page, etc.

Student workstation requirements
- Laptop hardware: Minimum 1GHz processor (and, boy, do we mean MINIMUM!), minimum 1GB RAM (2 or more GB HIGHLY recommended!), minimum 20GB free space after OS installation, DVD drive or USB 2.0 port for in-class file transfer
- SharePoint Experts will provide you with your own SharePoint site for class (requires a wifi card for public course in a classroom), or you can run your own virtual machine:
- OS details: Windows Server 2003 SP1 or higher, with MOSS 2007 Enterprise or Standard installed
- SharePoint Designer 2007 (required)
- Photoshop or other graphics design program (optional)
